From the Blue Ridge Parkway
Get off Parkway at milepost 291 onto Hwy 321 north toward Boone. Go 1/4 mile on Hwy 321. We are up on a hill on the left.
Blue Ridge Parkway Closures
Milepost 285 at Bamboo Gap to Milepost 288 at Aho Gap is closed due to work on the Goshen Creek Bridge. This section is the small amount of Parkway between the entrances of Deep Gap and Blowing Rock. Visitors can still enter and exit the Parkway at these two ramps, travel north from Deep Gap and south from Blowing Rock, and get to their destinations.
There are two other closures traveling south on the Parkway from Linville. There are detoured routes at every closed area to continue the flow of travel.

Take Hwy 321 south toward Blowing Rock. Continue for 4 miles past the last traffic light in Boone (intersection of Deerfield Rd). We are up on a hill on the right.

The long awaited improvement of Hwy 321 between Lenoir and Blowing Rock is underway. There is a misconception that the road is closed. It remains open and will experience only temporary closings. The road MAY be closed for blasting on Tuesdays and Thursdays between noon and 2 pm; however, it will not always be necessary to close the road each Tuesday and Thursday. Other delays will be limited to not more than 15 minutes.
DOT will keep the public informed through message signs along the highway and through the media. Travelers can get information from www.ncsmartlink.org or by calling the state's travel information line at 511.
